Is complete. Yep, we’re now hosted at sourceforge rather than google.
Webservices… I’ve never really thought about them
December 20, 2006I’ve never known web services to be so amazing! They’re definatly going to be in papermark.
I’m thinking that there could be a application on the desktop teachers can use to connect to the system which will be quicker and faster, as the processing will be done in the app.
Look forward to it!

Ok… That problem. It’s sorted
December 19, 2006Ok. I worked out how to do it.
I’ve modified the mysql database to accomidate the new layout
So… Yay!
What a short post.
Bye!
Isn’t this project hard…
December 17, 2006Well, I’m already stuck! How about that. And the main reason… The permissions.
I need different parts of the page for students and different parts for teachers. But I have a number of questions going through my head about the whole thing.
What happens if someone taught some of the time and was a student the rest? How would I do that?!
And how am I supposed to implement teacher/students different parts of pages? A big if statement. That just seems stupid.
Is anyone there?
Hellllllllllp!
Wiki is finally up
December 5, 2006We’ve had a wiki up for a couple of weeks now just for us developers. But now, the wiki is available to the public! Not much there so far, just a feature list and things to do.
Be sure to visit it at:
Thanks!
Welcome
December 2, 2006The official PaperMark blog. Now up!
For those of you who don’t know who we are, well… We’re a new project aimed at bringing in a open source way for schools and other educational establishments to collaborate. Using our portal, they will be able to do practically all they wish to do. From tests to attendance reports, we’ve got it covered.
Are you an education establishment that could be interested in this project being rolled out where you are? Great! Drop us a note, so that we know we’re not just talking to a wall! You can email us at papermark@webspot.co.uk or just leave a comment in this blog somewhere. We’re waiting!
There is also the mailing list. Joining this can help you get involved in all what we are doing in the project and gives you a chance to say what you want from this project! You can join the mailing list at http://groups.google.com/group/papermark
If you’d like to possibly become involved in this project, contact us and we could see what we can do. We need marketers and graphic designers.
Hold tight for updates!
See you around!
